About me

I was born in 1980 and live in my adopted hometown of Hamburg, Germany. Originally, I come from the Swabian region in Souther Germany, but over the years I’ve adopted the broad sing-song dialect of the North—at least if you believe my family. In my "real life," I worked for many years as an IT manager, but in my private life, I’ve always been drawn to the fine arts. Whether it’s music, painting, or writing—my head has always been filled with a cloud of swirling ideas.
I published my first books alongside my day job, until, at the age of forty, I took the plunge into the deep end: becoming a full-time, self-employed author. Since then, I’ve been enjoying every single day—breathing life into my protagonists, putting deep emotions into words, and bringing to paper the countless stories that drift through my thoughts. Under the pseudonym “Kerstin Böhm,” I publish romance novels, and as “K.T. Steen,” I write romantic fantasy.
